Chinese New Year falls on a Monday in 2016, giving us yet another glorious long weekend to look forward to! This holiday, go beyond Bali and venture off instead to one of Indonesia’s often unexplored remote destinations. From five-star luxury tents to a totally isolated beach camp hideaway, we round up some of Indonesia’s best private retreats to head to on your next vacation.

Lombok

Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp
Set on a secluded cove, the Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp is a tropical hideaway of dreams with eleven Beruga Pantai villas perched on stretch of pristine white beach. In true off-the-grid manner, the isolated beach camp has no wifi, no TVs and barely any reception – a perfect retreat for those really wanting to get away from modern civilization. Activities include snorkeling, sunrise trekking, surfing, and nearby excursions to the iconic pink beach.

How to get there: Garuda Airlines flies directly from Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta Airport) to Lombok (Lombok International Airport) daily. Jeeva Beloam is a three-hour drive from Lombok International Airport.

Sumba Island

Nihiwatu
Billed as a hidden paradise on Sumba Island, Nihiwatu is a truly breathtaking experience like no other. The uber-exclusive eco-friendly luxury resort stretches over 567-hectares of pristine land that includes 32 private villa estates, white sand beaches, one of the world’s best surf breaks, an equestrian park, and a gorgeous yoga deck. Best yet is their unbelievable Nihi Oka Spa Safari experience, a well-worth 90-minute trek to a secluded valley where spa treatment rooms await.

How to get there: Garuda Airlines flies from Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta Airport) to Sumba (Tambolaka Airport) via Denpasar, Bali daily. Nihiwatu is an hour-and-a-half drive from Tambolaka Airport.

Moyo Island

Amanwana
As the only luxury camp on the island, Amanwana truly is a one-of-a-kind remote wilderness haven. Get away from it all and stay in either jungle-side or ocean-view tent suites on this relatively untouched island. Moyo is made up of a unique combination of savannahs, tropical jungles, and pristine white-sand beaches, meaning that there are plenty of natural scenery and wild fauna to be spotted. Expect wandering Macaque monkeys and rusa deer to make morning appearances in front of your tented suite.

How to get there: Garuda Airlines flies directly from Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta Airport) to Denpasar, Bali (Ngurah Rai Airport) daily. Continue your journey to Moyo Island via helicopter or plane, arranged by Amanwana
