This year’s Bali International Film Festival, otherwise known as Balinale, is shaping up to be the best and most exciting in the festival’s eleven year history! The festival continues to bring their audience quality, thought-provoking, independent and award winning short, feature & documentary films from Indonesia and around the world. This year, their 2017 theme of Connecting Communities Through the World of FIlm, reflects on how film can project our visions and dreams in a positive way to enable a greater exposure, tolerance and acceptance of other countries and cultures.

The annual Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) is held 24-30 September at the Official Venue Partner Cinemaxx in Lippa Mall Kuta. It will feature a weeklong program of fabulous film screenings, special events of movie premiers, celebrity meet and greets, seminars, exhibitions, sneak peeks and so much more. The festivities will kick off with a parade showcasing the elaborate designs and costumes by Jember Fashion Carnval (JFC).
