Cheers to one of my favorite shots and views of this year which is located at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, Nihombashi. I was asked to stay and experience this luxury hotel when I was in Tokyo and I couldn't say no to this opportunity. Apparently despite the amount of rooms available in the hotel, securing one is pretty difficult because there are so many people whom want to stay in this beautiful hotel. It is located at Nihombashi, which is a business district in Tokyo that's only 5 mins walk to Tokyo Station and 10 mins walk to Tokyo Imperial Palace. It is the center of history, culture, and commerce, having Mitsukoshi Nihombashi Department Store only a few mins walk from the hotel
Upon check in, there was welcome drink but what amazed me was their complimentary box full of high quality fruits. Besides the fruits, there was handwritten letter and also book notes presented for the guest to make us feel special
The one that I stayed at was Mandarin Grand Room type which is like the biggest standard room before suite type. It offers mount fuji view during clear day and spa-like bathroom. The design is Japanese traditional mixed with classic contemporary. They also present yukata as the room wear, beautifully stored inside a black box on the bottom of the bed
Since it's a 60sqm room and considered really big for Tokyo's standard, the bathroom is of course in the right size with separated shower, bath up, toilet, and powder area. Luxury is without a doubt the perfect word for this room
It is rare to find a hotel in Tokyo that offers million dollar city view and Mandarin Oriental successfully is one of them. The hotel rooms are mostly located at 33-36th floor and it gives an amazing experience to see Tokyo cityscape from the top. Guests can see Tokyo's beautiful sunset and sunrise at the comfort of their rooms. The big windows provided also give me a good view to see the scenery and take pictures without much distraction!
The view from my room both day and night
I personally love the night scenery more, which one you like better?
And if you have time, don't forget to go up at 37th floor to enjoy their dining experiences. Mandarin Oriental Tokyo has a lot of Michelin Stars restaurants under their name, and I got to have my lunch at SIGNATURE. Besides mindblowing view, the foods are absolutely fantastic and live up to Michelin standard! I am excited to try their famous Tapas Molecular Bar and Cantonese Dining as well since the restaurants have been a loyal Michelin Stars awardee for years
